We can set up a brief 15min call to make sure any questions you have are answered and/or, if you decide to meet me for counseling services, I will send you a link to my HIPAA compliant practice portal so you can complete some consent and intake forms. I ask that you let me know by phone or e-mail your preferred times/days to meet so I can do my best to accommodate you based on available time slots. After you complete the intake forms, we would just schedule our initial meeting.
Unfortunately, no. Currently, I am only licensed in the state of Massachusetts and therefore I can only provide counseling services to people who reside in MA when we meet.
Your protected health information is of the utmost importance and I maintain confidentiality as part of my professional practice and ethical obligation. There are rare exceptions to this however. For example, if you share information that you or someone else's life is in danger, if there is a risk of harm/neglect to a child, older adult or disabled adult then I am required, as a mandated reporter, to take steps to protect you and/or that person's safety. Other exceptions include when insurance requests information for billing purposes or if I am subpoenaed by the court. I would be happy to discuss this more with you if you have additional questions or concerns.
Yes, I am in network with Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. I strongly encourage you to contact your insurance company directly to confirm your plan's benefits. Please see payment section for more detailed information.
With the exception of unforeseen emergencies or scheduling conflicts, I kindly ask that you provide 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule to avoid being charged for your appointment. Advance notice allows me to fulfill other client's scheduling needs. Appointments that are no-showed or cancelled with less than 24-hour notice are subject to the full session fee. This policy is in place out of respect for everyone's time.
No. As a licensed clinical social worker, I do not prescribe medication. Please seek consultation with a medical doctor, nurse practitioner or physician's assistant to explore medications that may be appropriate for you.
